A grade VIII graduate whilst still at school in Worcestershire, she has spent 20 years assembling a powerful and varied repertoire of songs reflecting a broad range of musical tastes and influences. From early experiences singing solo and chorally with semi-professional groups in Stratford and London, Catherine's career has embraced everything from the Thomas Tallis choir to platform performances at the National Theatre.

As comfortable with Schubert's Ave Maria or the Pie Jesu as she is with contemporary and popular musicals, Catherine's talent is underpinned by the haunting melodies of Welsh folk songs she first heard sung in the chapel where she spent her childhood. To this day, she sings these pieces unaccompanied, to the delight of both local and international audiences.

Catherine takes particular care to tailor every performance to the specific demands of the occasion, and it's that attention to detail that is the bedrock of her success.
